The first World Series of Poker bracelet 2020 has officially been awarded. Jonathan “Art.Vandelay” Dokler topped the 1,715 total entry field to record a $ 500 WSOP Online buy-in no-limit hold’em “kick-off” event.
The Ohio native earned his first bracelet and top prize of $ 130,425.75 after beating Justin “MadTitan” Turner for the title. This is Dokler’s second major win at an online event this year, having won the WSOP Circuit Online gold ring at the end of March for $ 77,910. he also won a $ 5,100 buy-in event at the Borgata Winter Poker Open earlier this year for $ 100,829, which was the biggest score he had recorded before clinching this title.
With 1,195 players and 520 re-entries made in the event, the prize pool jumped to $ 771,750. The top 248 runners make money, with the min-cash worth $ 772 while the top nine runners all make at least five digit payouts the day you visit poker88.
There are many big names making big headway at this event, including four-time bracelet winner Mike ‘mouth123’ Matusow (44 – $ 2,623.95), 2012 WSOP major event runner-up Jesse “MrJesseJames” Sylvia (137 – $ 1,003.27 ), two main Tour Card Poker-time event winners Jon “havuuuuuc” Turner eliminated (12th – $ 7,872), and all-time WSOP bracelet leader Phil Hellmuth, who held the chip lead at one point with only two tables remaining.
Hellmuth lost two big pots to pocket queens after taking the lead, and ended up hitting the rail in 11th place ($ 7,871.85). He first ran the queen into the pocket of the king Agate ‘Agie69 Jim with the remaining 18 players to back off a little count.
He then got it all in with a Q Diamond Suit Q Club Shirt Against A Heart Suit K Spades Suit Shawn ‘SayGood Night’ Daniels. Daniels crashed into a king on the flop and held off from there to end Hellmuth’s run to win his 16th bracelet.
